May 2007 Update

I recently returned from a trip through the southeast where I visited 31 additional open, abandoned and former drive-in locations in south Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida, including the largest drive-in in the country near Fort Lauderdale, FL with 14 screens.  The new list will be posted on my website soon.

I now have a full team of talented and experienced people assembled to work on the film.  We are now listed on the Internet Movie Database if you'd like to see who's involved.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0976037/fullcredits

I'm in process of applying for various funding grants to pay for the rest of production and post production on the film.  PBS and Sundance were both very receptive to the project when I was at the Sundance Film Festival in January.  I'll let you know as things move forward.  Related to this, a couple potential financiers have asked to see a 20 minute work-in-progress clip of the film.  So I'm working with my editor to get a clip together by August.  We'll post it on the website once it's done.

This summer I'll be visiting the remaining 18 continental US states in the north to shoot drive-ins and former drive-in locations for the film.  The schedule and itinerary are not yet established, but likely to be in the July or August timeframe.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support as this project gains momentum.  I really appreciate it!
